DISNEYLAND TALES OF MAGIC

TALES OF MAGIC.
DISNEYLAND, PARIS // 2025
We are thrilled to have collaborated with the fantastic Disneyland Paris team and Tim Lutkin (Creative Director) on this new night-time show and immersive experience - creating the visuals for the iconic Disney Castle and Main Street U.S.A.
In March 2024, we started working with Disneyland Paris & Tim Lutkin (Creative Director) with a vision to create an all new night-time spectacular that illuminated the iconic Disney Castle and - for the first time in Disneyland Paris history - extended the show down Main Street U.S.A to truly immerse guests in the magic.
The show Disney Tales Of Magic opened on 10th January 2025 and is due to run each and every night for several years, attracting more than 13 million viewers per year.

CREATIVE VISION & ART DIRECTION
We wanted to transform Disneyland Paris’ nighttime spectacular with a show that illuminated the iconic Castle with a rich tapestry of storytelling & artistry combined with innovative technology & precision-projection-mapping.
And with the inclusion of Main Street U.S.A. we pushed to create a show that truly immersed guests and could be experienced from a multitude of perspectives, night after night after night.
Collaboration is key. Working closely with Tim Lutkin, the Disney teams & various all-star collaborators, we collectively created a beautiful synergy between all components - projection, lighting, lasers, pyro, drones, SFX, water, sound, etc.
Storytelling is at the heart of every experience. It’s our north star, and Disney have the most beautiful narratives and characters to bring to life in the show.

“IT’S A DAZZLING 20-MINUTE SPECTACLE. AUDIENCES HAVE BEEN AWESTRUCK. “IT’S MARVELOUS. WE’VE NEVER SEEN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL LIGHT SHOW,” “...FELT LIKE PURE MAGIC. I’VE BEEN TO DISNEY BEFORE, BUT THIS SHOW IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL.”

TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
For the first time ever at Disneyland Paris, the night-time spectacular extended down Main Street U.S.A through immersive projection-mapping. As with every show & experience, the balance between artistry & technology is imperative, and this project was a fine example of this.
The technical development for both the Castle & Main Street U.S.A was a significant undertaking and, as ever, precision & innovation was a top priority.
This included creating the Pixel maps and UV unwraps for the buildings of Main Street, and a real time VR Previs in Unreal Engine to ensure we were making informed creative and technical decisions within a realistic immersive environment from various audience perspectives. We created 3D Point-cloud scan of Main Street gave us a true representation of detail and colour.
