Context and Brief

We collaborated with Ben Mansfield from Tourlite Design.

Ben had created a fantastic set which was a rendition of Vincent's (FKJ) intimate home studio in the Philippine jungle. The screens formed the backdrop of the set which through our visuals became the tall panoramic windows that look out onto the vast jungle surrounding Vincent's studio.

We took the audience on a trip, beginning in the room with Vincent as the jungle scenery evolves (thanks to Vincent's great footage of his surroundings) before reality shifts and distorts into progressive states of abstraction and psychedelia combined with highly beat responsive visual sync!

Each song transcends you to another place, inspiring us to create visuals that perfectly complemented each unique vibe. With each song, came a new distorted environment.

The combination of hypnotic beats, soulful melodies, and vibrant visuals created an otherworldly experience, leaving the audience completely immersed in the sonic journey created.

Technical Implementation

We explored beat driven generative software tools such as Touch Designer and Notch to enhance the effect of the music distorting the surrounding environment.
