Context and Brief
We designed and created a unique VVIP event in Riyadh to celebrate a very special occasion, featuring a range of multimedia designs fusing sculpture, origami, projection, lighting design and more.
NorthHouse took charge of the creative direction, show design and visual media design, with a brief to create a beautiful experience inspired by nature.

Approach
Creative Vision + Art Direction
We wanted to create a calming spatial experience, inspired by nature, water, caustics, and specific foliage and floral details.
By fusing sculpture and origami with lighting and projection, we could create a unique aesthetic that brought a softness and a sense of fluidity to the event.
Technical
It's all in the details.
We devised a system for projection mapping within the concave sculpture utilising snorkel lenses on the
projectors, whilst projection on the origami pieces utilised LiDAR tracking to create a high level of precision on the irregular surfaces. We went to great lengths to pre-visualise the installation at every step of the way for our client, including a viewable option in VR.
